Title: Software Developer (.Net) Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 6 Month Prefer Local. RESPONSIBILITY: The role requires experience with software application development technologies and the ability to develop solutions by as reusable end-to-end technology solutions. It also requires demonstrated skills in cross-group collaboration and communication across all organizational groups. The Software Developer assists the Sr. Software Developer in conceptualizing solutions at distinct levels of abstraction and contributes to the overall solution design. Analyzes and designs complex, object-oriented software through the inclusion of design patterns and reference architectures. Designs flexible solutions can easily adapt to future business needs. The Software Developer is able to execute the design in code. ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES Coding: Analyze information requirements specified by the user community for turning those requirements into code. Leading and mentoring other team members in software development best practices. Ensure that all basic functionality has been unit tested and all coding and/or functional errors found are corrected prior to systems and integration testing. Design: Contributing to the development of object models, recommending development tools and platforms, producing technical documentation and diagrams, and serving as a resource and/or subject matter expert to the team developing the solution. Develop estimates for tasks needed to complete design, construction and testing efforts. Unit Testing: Testing each piece of code developed by the individual to ensure a high degree of quality and conformance to requirements. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Required: .Net Technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .Net Framework), XML, AJAX, Web Services. In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design principles. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and team work skills. Ability to assimilate emerging technologies, as well as the ability to transform this technical knowledge into solutions.
