Engineer.* We are looking for an experienced business analyst who is adept at developing and managing requirements. The candidate must have experience: • eliciting requirements from users in workshops and through interviews; • developing technical specifications and requirements documents; • analyzing requirements; and • verifying requirements through testing. The candidate must also have experience managing those requirements through the entire system development lifecycle, including the design, implementation, deployment and test phases. The candidate should have experience with client-server or other distributed systems that include a complex database and/or data warehouse. Experience with database (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Access) and data warehouse design, implementation and management is desired. The candidate should understand the characteristics of well-written requirements, and should have practiced techniques for: • gathering requirements from multiple sources; • conducting workshops with stakeholders an end users; • deriving technical requirements from documentation on existing systems; • developing use cases and deriving requirements from them; as well as • other methods of requirements gathering. This candidate will be responsible for planning and holding workshops with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and documenting those requirements. The candidate will take information gathered from system users and other stakeholders and write technical requirements that will be used to develop software and hardware products. The candidate will also assist in developing test plans and test procedures, and executing those test procedures to verify requirements are satisfied by the system developed. The candidate should have experience in validating requirements and verifying proper implementation of requirements, and, developing software, and performing system level integration and testing for hardware and software products. Experience with computer aided dispatch systems, geographic with geographical information systems (GIS) and call center systems is a significant plus. Work must be done on site in Brooklyn, NY - Monday - Friday (8-5). Resource may also be asked to support AVL and Computerized Triage projects as well as EMS CAD Stay Alive.
