*Location: Columbia, MD * *PowerBuilder / C++ Developer Description:* *For this position we really need someone with significant and recent experience in the following areas:* PowerBuilder ( Version 10 ) C++ ClearCase / ClearQuest Merge Tool *Responsibilities**: * *1.* Perform highly complex analysis, test, design and/or development. Perform preliminary / original design and analysis. *2.* Plan strategies for analysis, test, and design used for task planning and execution. Analyze project requirements and develop detailed objectives and detailed planning, conceptual designs and risk analysis. *3.* Develop and oversee test programs to evaluate new materials or the assign portion of the project / program. Analyze and review test data. *4.* Lead in the development of reports and design notes. Document and present results of analysis, test and design. *5.* Interact with internal and external customers. Assist the customer in defining system requirements and in the generation of specifications for products or sub systems. Support new business and prepare proposal material. *6.* Provide technical guidance and direction to engineering team in the design, test, production and maintenance phases of a project. *7.* Develop and present materials for project related briefings including design reviews to be given to internal and external customers. *PowerBuilder / C++ Developer Requirements:* *As mentioned, the biggest requirements are as followed:* · PowerBuilder ( Version 10 ) programming experience · C++ · ClearCase / ClearQuest · Merge Tool · A 4 year degree in a related field *Below you will find experience that is very desirable and pertinent to the position**:* Programming experience on the Windows platform with C , PowerBuilder , Visual Basic , and C# (or other MS.NET language) GIS programming experience ( ESRI or deCarta products preferred ) Experience designing databases and writing stored procedures or embedded SQL using either SQL Server or Oracle. Previous experience implementing real-time messaging and programming TCP / IP socket communications. Working knowledge of tracking and configuration management tools ( ClearQuest / ClearCase preferred).
