Position: Infrastructure Engineer
Duration: 6+ months with a possibility of extension
up to 1yr
Location: San Francisco , CA

Required Qualifications:
BS in computer science or 7 years experience in a complex organization.
. 5+ years experience designing andf implementing customer solutions,
ideally in an enterprise software/professional services environment.
. Initiate and conduct technical and functional analysis and design.
. Utilization of key skills in Networking, Storage, Servers, Security,
Databases to lead solution design to meet the customer's requiremetns and
business needs.
. Be able to digest, present and discuss various technical topics regarding
existing solutions and evolving solutions.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to closely work
with customer.
. Highly results oriented with the ability to accomplish goals, keep
deadlines and to deliver according to high quality standards
. Proactive and positive, customer and team oriented personality.
Solution Engineer will be responsible for architecture review, design, and
solution assurance. Candidate must provide technical leadership across
multiple platforms or capabilities such as Wintel, UNIX, Linux, VMWare,
Storage, AD, and Messaging.. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for the
solution design and estimation of large and/or complex IT Projects from
Client provided requirements Solution Engineer works closely with various
internal teams and external vendors to achieve a successful completion of
the IT project. Responsibilities require the Solutions Engineer to remain
engaged throughout the project lifecycle and responsibilities include:
. Engage with internal engineering teams to create detailed project design
to achieve the business objective and meet client provided requirements
. Work with various internal and external resources during the design and
integration to ensure that the ultimate solution meets the specified design
and each component achieves the required results.
. Provide key communication and oversight role to the IT portion of the
project .
. Responsible for overseeing the transition plan to maintenance environment.
. Work with customer's enterprise architects in building conceptual
enterprise design.
. Deep working knowledge of IT product strategies and architecture,
including external trends.
. Understanding of hardware, software, network, security, database and
middleware architecture.
. Should have strong negotiation skills, excellent oral and written
communication skills and the ability to discern your audience and
communicate appropriately.
. Strong design skills and posses the ability to develop new solutions with
vendors.
. Should have the mindset to learn new technologies and skills quickly.
. Support to project managers with engaging the IT engineering teams.
. Review and clarify Business Requirements and Architecture Overview
documents with customer and Engineering teams.
. Support the project manager regarding defining the technical part of the
project including labor and budgets estimates.
. Design a solution according to the Business Requirement and AO document,
following to various engineering standards. Verify the design with
Engineering and Operations groups. Once the design is finalized, meet with
IT architect and application architects from customer side to verify whether
the design satisfies the requirements.
. Partner with architecture and engineering for gaps in any design and help
drive any proof of concepts.
. Provide technical leadership during a Project, communicate with
engineering group and provide project status
Secondary Skills:
Hands on experience with networked systems, Solaris/Linux/AIX/Windows OS,
Security, XML, Oracle and content management systems in an internet
architecture are an advantage.
