January 2, 2010 and end on January 1, 2011. with option of renewal Albany NY Job Description 1) The objective of this project is to provide one experienced Application Developer who can assist the Client in maintaining and updating existing applications and implementing new applications. 2) The successful candidate will be expected to provide support, design, and implementation services for the Client. This may include on-going software support for the Client’s enterprise Java web applications as well as creation and maintenance of appropriate technical, procedural and functional documentation. 3) Significant experience in supplying technical expertise in the development and modification of Java web applications 4) The successful candidate will be experienced in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle, including the analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of discrete Java web-based enterprise applications. Examples of the types of services that the successful candidate will be expected to provide include, but are not limited to the following:
a) Design, develop and maintain new systems, add-ons or modifications to existing applications including existing web systems; b) Gather and inventory business requirements; c) Develop functional and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation for systems and applications; d) Provide operating system and/or application programming recommendations, including acquisition of off-the-shelf products or integration of custom programming products; e) Install, test, audit, fully integrate and support programming or products; f) Develop, publish and maintain dynamic and static web pages; g) Develop and execute test plans; h) Develop end user documentation; i) Develop training materials; j) Create, monitor and manage project plans, schedules, scope, risks, issues, costs and changes; k) Coordinate and/or assist in end user training; and 1) l) Mentor Client personnel in these tasks to ensure transfer of knowledge and skills.
