Title: System Engineer Duration: 6 months Location: Redmond, WA Rate: $35/hr Need to come for the In-Person after telephonic interview. Description This role will provide technical engineering support for the implementation of complex systems architectures, deploy and maintain production/pre-prod server environments; provide application monitoring, automate repetitive manual tasks; and provide technical expertise for resolving critical production incidents. The position will work with other team members to troubleshoot complex support issues, identify root causes and develop mitigation options. Qualifications include: . Strong technical skills with MS products required including Windows 2003/2008, SQL2008 and IIS6/7. . Ability to troubleshoot & advance ability to analyze complex live-site problems quickly is a MUST for this position. . Experience working in a 24x7 Production environment. . Strong knowledge of scripting languages, Batch scripting, VBS and/or PowerShell. . Strong knowledge of performance monitoring, remote administration, client/server architecture, Web application management, internet technologies and network architecture . Working knowledge of Active Directory, XML, .Net Framework, MSMQ, TCP/IP protocols, and tools for IIS/W2k8/SQL. . Working knowledge of DNS, Windows Clustering, Storage Array Networks and Hardware Load Balancing devices . Monitoring expertise - SCOM, TMF, Gomez etc. or experience creating the monitoring infrastructure. . Process background in change control, source control, disaster recovery, backup strategies and cross group collaboration. . Good interpersonal skills, critical thinking, written and oral communication skills and strong technical documentation skills required.
