Description:* Our client is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Programmer Analyst (ASP.NET) based in Atlanta, Georgia. Reporting to the Application Service Supervisor, the selected Programmer Analyst’s responsibilities include working with the defined project team to diagnosis, design, develop and test errors and enhancements. Using ASP.NET, C#, Visualbasic.Net, XML, and this team member will be focused on developing, maintaining and improving web applications. Day to day activities will include @ 40% coding, 25% design/analysis, 30% testing/ maintenance and 10% other. Candidate will be able to work with a diverse project team, and work in a highly visible and changing project environment with aggressive timelines. *Capturing Functional / Technical Requirements* - Production of maintainable web applications with solid architecture - Maintenance of existing applications - Identifying, investigating and implementing novel solutions to client requirements - Implementation and customization of open source / commercial CMS products - Ensure web applications meet current web standards & accessibility requirements - Responsible for bug fixing - Creating & implementing test strategies - Implementing source control & versioning - Contribute to coding standards / development practices *Required Skills:* *Qualifications* - Degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university AND 6 years computer programming and analysis experience at a level equivalent to a Software Engineer which included using Web Services, XML, SOAP, object persistence methodologies and application integration - 4+ years experience with full project lifecycle experience in implementing web based systems - Proficient in troubleshooting, self-motivated and driven professional, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to exercise good judgment to keep critical systems operational - Experience converting Visual Basic and or/mainframe applications to .Net applications - Experience in design models, diagrams, layouts, definitions and/or specifications to show process, systems design, and/or integration complexity in a clear and precise manner - Proficient in Analyzing information thoroughly and effectively to determine the severity and extent of technical platform changes, customer requirements and/or software problems encountered on the Integrated Systems. - 4 + years experience using the following technologies: Visual Basic.Net, ASP.Net, C#, MS SQL Server 2000, and Oracle 9i. - Four + years experience with full project lifecycle experience in implementing web based systems - 4 + years with .NET, & client-server side development - 4 + years with working knowledge of software releases, versioning, change control and source control systems - 4 + years OLE DB, SQL & enterprise database development experience, Oracle 9i, or other RDBMS. - Remain current in technology advancements - Provide application support during non-business hours or on-call support as needed - Ensure timely and effective customer service and follow-up *Skills / Attributes Required* *Required* - XHTML / CSS 2, JavaScript, DOM etc - W3C web standards, Semantic Markup - Excellent practical knowledge of Accessibility (WAI A, AA, AAA) - ASP.net 2.0 / 3.5 (Preferably C# ) - AJAX - CMS Experience - Windows Server 2003, IIS etc - MS SQL SERVER (2000 / 2005),Oracle 9i,10g - XML, XSLT, XPath etc - Strong interest in future of web application development - Experience of N-Tier OO development and industry best practices - Team Player, can do attitude, willing to transfer knowledge *Preferred Qualifications* In addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, preference will be given to applicants who possess the following: - Excellent debugging skills - Experience with crystal reporting tools.
