This position is for a Java / Web Services development position on an Agile development team and will FOCUS ON LOAD AND PEFROMANCE TESTING using the Wily Introscope monitoring tools and will work in concert with a Load and Performance Testing team. Once performance issues have been exposed, the candidate will identify and implement performance enhancements to using Web Logic configurations and/or enhancing Web Services written in JAVA and using SOAP/Axis. We expect the candidate to respond to the results of the testing, not create the actual tests. In addition to software development expertise, the successful candidate will have proven experience setting up and configuring Wily Introscope and experience configuring WebLogic to maximize performance. The candidate must be VERY knowledgeable and have in-depth and hands on experience that covers multiple years, multiple projects using all the following technologies: .Wily - especially configuring for use in monitoring performance of Web Services/Java/JEE, Developing Web Services with SOAP / Axis ,WebLogic App Server, and especially configurations that may impact performance. . Hibernate . SQL The candidate must have some knowledge AND experience with the following technologies . Spring dependency. injection . Subversion . JUnit . Ant . Maven . Continuous Integration framework/product (e.g. CruiseControl, Hudson) . Linux/Unix (e.g. basic commands, configuring and installing packages like python, apache, etc.) . Jmock or similar testing framework . AOP / Spring AOP . WorkManager interface (or similar parallel processing framework) Communication and collaboration skills are critically important. In addition to the skills called out above, the areas of expertise listed below are needed to be a contributing member of our highly collaborative teams: . Capable of leading/discussing multiple design alternatives in all layers of the system especially as it pertains to performance. . Capable of being a active participant in a highly collaborative lab environment with the ability to participate in technical and functional discussions with the other development team members. .Able to clearly communicate and lead discussions on design patterns, technical improvements, and implementation strategies. . Experience being a leader on a team developing software using Test Driven Development, working with mocking frameworks, and familiar with best practices on refactoring. . *NOTE:* Typically, we look for developers who have deep expertise with the Agile methodology.
