*Location: Garden City, NY* *Duration : 1 Year* *Rate : Open * * * *Minimum Education Level 4 year degree in Computer Science or work experience equivalent Required Travel up to 80% to CA and DC * *Functional Responsibilities Systems Engineer Active Directory/Wintel Server Function as a Senior Consultant for clients of CLIENT as a Windows Systems Engineer consultant for design and implementation of ITS professional service engagements. * *Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Active Directory Server Infrastructure software (Windows 2008 Sever) and related systems Experience in upgrade, migration and merging of legacy A/D systems to WIN 2008 environment Experience merging diverse Active Directory domains Establishing shares and understanding DFS services and experience administrating Microsoft based file systems and permissions structures. Strong Clustering experience Experience with DNS/WINS and Windows Certificate Services 7+ years working with Microsoft server and server related products in large scale, mission critical, highly available, enterprise environments. 3+ years experience with administrating recent versions of Windows Server (W2K3/W2k8) and supporting components. Experience with implementing and administrating recent versions of Windows Cluster services Tier 1 server hardware experience (Compaq, Dell, IBM) Microsoft Certification (MCP, MCSE) preferred Script and/or coding experience, preferably VB or VBA. Possesses comprehensive technical knowledge and organizational skills to oversee, coordinate, and participate in highly complex projects with high visibility and high impact on the business. Ability to prepare technical reports, client presentations, design documentation, and manuals. * *Additional Qualifications Experience with IP addressing and DHCP servers and related services Possesses comprehensive technical knowledge and organizational skills to oversee, coordinate, and participate in highly complex projects with high visibility and high impact on the business. As the individual will often be acting in a consulting role and as a technical advisor, consulting experience is highly recommended. Ability articulate solutions to such diverse constituencies as project managers, clients, business stakeholders and engineers.
