Position : Oracle PL/SQL Developer (locals preferred) Location : Dallas, TX Duration : 3 Months+ Contract (Extension) Looking for someone with that has strong experience using PL/SQL to create ETL. MANUALLY. Candidate will be part of a Data Warehouse team and should have some OLAP experience in an Oracle DBMS environment (Oracle 10g). Candidate should be very proficient using PL/SQL programming language to create ETL the old fashioned way. Experience with data migrations and data warehousing is important. Candidate should be able to: - design/code/test packages, procedures, functions, materialized views and triggers - code sqlldr routines - build physical table structures - explain the basic premise of dimensional modelling - have some data modelling experience - have some knowledge of shell scripts and reporting tools - understand how to use explain plan - understand how to tune queries - understand how table spaces work - understand how to move data from one database to another using a db link Thanks for your time & concern ...
