The role will be to develop new front-end Repo trading system components. These components will be used predominantly by traders on financing desks in NY, LN and TK (although we have users spread across the firm in Operations, Controllers and Credit). The candidate will be expected to interact with trading floor staff to gather requirements and manage the transition of software from Test into QA for sign-off prior to production release. Skills Required Strong C# GUI development skills in a Windows environmentare essential. The candidate should be experienced in the development/architecture of graphical user interfaces and have a good understanding of the human-computer interaction needed to deliver usable applications. A thorough understanding of object-oriented patterns/design, XML & software engineering practices. In addition, the individual should be assertive and proactive with good time management skills and capable of working under pressure. Must also be able to react effectively to changing business demands with a positive and professional attitude. Skills Desired Agile development techniques. A general knowledge of Fixed Income and/or the securities industry.
