Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6 Months Rate: $35/hr *Position Description*: · Experience Level: Bachelor's degree plus 5*-7 years related experience including familiarity with testing automation* tools. · Description: Uses advanced knowledge in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts. · Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process. · May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. · *Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs* ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents. · Uses knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving complex test problems. · Participates in planning and directing quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitoring project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Logs, tracks, and verifies re! · Solution of software and specification defects. · Documents all phases of *QA process.* · Researches new products and industry methodologies and provide inputs in the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. May be responsible for designing and distributing training materials · This candidate will need to have experience *in Data Warehouse quality assurance* testing and data profiling. · This candidate will have strong *SQL skills as well as relational data base* knowledge. · This person will be responsible for handling and resolving the most complex quality assurance and test environment issues. · This is a senior testing role and will be responsible for the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects. *Documents all phases of QA process.* · Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff · The consultant will be working in a fast paced challenging global environment responsible for coordinating work between a team of people in the U.S. and India. · This candidate will have strong analytical skills specific to *SQL, UNIX, relational data modeling, DB2, teradata, data warehousing, Mercury Quality Center, strong communication skills* · Worked on team development/testing projects, computer science · Degree 5-7 years of experience *working with large volume Data Warehouse environments a must.* · Nice to have: Knowledge *of Clear quest defect tracking system, understanding of the financial industry*, experience working with Technology Operations Group.
