The successful candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of system development as well as interacting directly with the business unit for requirements gathering and final product delivery. The candidate will be responsible for delivering system solutions as well as work on enhancing and supporting existing infrastructure and code libraries. The successful candidate should be proficient with following technologies/concepts: Core Java. The candidate should have solid understanding of core Java concepts and Design Patterns. Distributed Systems using EJB and JMS. The candidate should understand the complete lifecycle of local and distributed transactions and resource enlistment strategies. Volume & Scalability. The candidate should have a relevant experience working on real-time trade processing system while solving volume related technical challenges. Clustered Deployment. The candidate should understand pros and cons of clustered installation of J2EE containers as well as working knowledge of clustered environments. Testing Framework. The candidate should have a good understanding of principles behind test driven development and have hands on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit. Database Skills. The candidate should be proficient with SQL, able to write and analyze complex queries with multi-table joins and aggregate functions. The candidate should have experience with query optimization and be familiar with generating and analyzing query plans. Prior experience with UDB or Sybase is a plus. Good understanding and prior experience using Spring Framework is a plus. OR Mapping tools. Prior experience using OR tools such as Hibernate is a plus.
