Job Titile : Programmer Analyst Location : Owings Mills, MD Duration : 6+ Month Contract Description: The position is for a market data support technician to learn, document and support the market data systems TRP utilizes for research information. These are critical systems utilized to support the Investment workflow. Applicants must possess solid communication skills, be able to work independently and thrive in a highly technical environment. Strong knowledge of Windows XP, IP networking and Investment systems is key to the success of the role. The tasks assigned to this role will include formally documenting the existing connectivity, knowledge transition to other team members, providing strategic recommendations to enhance the systems, completing enhancements and providing end-users support. The support of critical market data services, IP connectivity and front-end client support is a major role within Application Management. Applications include Bloomberg, Reuters Xtra, Reuters Station, Fact Set and NewsEdge. A broad range of support activities from understanding licensing requirements, communication protocols and end-user application support is being requested of the support team. The project will include normal day to day support requests as well as some small enhancements to the systems with the support of technicians. Hours: Hours of availability will be 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday with on-call support outside of business hours.
