This is my backfill – so at the moment it’s exclusive. It will remain so unless I can’t fill it with a batch of candidates that need to be submitted and will need to interview in the next 1-2 weeks – they could move very quickly on this. It’s downtown Brooklyn – the guy who is there has been there for years so it has the potential of being very long-term. It’s a 7 hour day and I don’t think he does much OT to be honest Would need local people b/c they won’t do a phone interview – face to face in Brooklyn only and again, they could turn this over very quickly so we may get an interview request on a Tuesday for an interview the following day… --MUST be local Type of Service: Consulting DIIT Position Needed: (1) Specialist II – Senior Level Data Administrator w/specialty in Cognos and ETL Categories of Expertise: a) Applications Development PC, b) Systems Management PC, and c) Internet/Intranet Application Services major responsibilities include performing analysis, design, programming and testing activities for the development, maintenance and enhancements of the different components of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. This will entail: • Participation in requirement meetings with end-users to understand and collect Business Intelligence (BI) report and Web content needs. • Document these requirements, resolve ambiguities and conflicts, gather consensus. • Prepare conceptual, logical and physical design documents. • Collaborate with other groups to design and develop new enterprise reporting solutions. • Develop BI reports to serve the end-users. • Tune the supporting queries and report build processes to improve end-user access response times. • Design, document and deploy the front-end components of analytical applications. • Work with the Information Delivery team to provide training and support. • Assist in the rollout, maintenance and ongoing administration of these applications. Also, required will be the generation of reports, creating interim databases for reporting purposes; validate accuracy of generated report to reliable source data including variance to prior data; provide documentation of generated reports; provide expertise and assistance to other departments in extracting data and creating reports, and peer review reports created by other developers and provide feedback.
