The group is running on the Report Services Platform, so experience with Report Services is highly desired. Cognos and Sharepoint experience is an extra "bonus", but this experience does not over-shadow the fact that they are looking for a strong VB Developer. Heavy focus on the Cognos and reporting skills background. Experience in using Cognos Framework manager is also a plus as is any reporting tool such as Brio and Business Objects. *OVERVIEW: * The person will be helping to expand the existing reporting capabilities that reside Reporting Services, Excel (using VBA), and Cognos. The position may help design and develop solutions using a mixture of MS SQL Server and Teradata. This may include pulling information from a variety of sources or using Cognos Framework Manager to link the two sources together. The objective is to expand the current data set available to Supply Chain to encompass all business units across the supply chain and provide a front end for the user that is simple but flexible using a reporting tool or a web page front end. *RESPONSIBILITIES: * This specific position looking for someone who has database skilled languages specifically TSQL and SSIS. Primary database skill set is using MS SQL Server and Teradata. Experience in using Cognos Framework manager is a plus as is any reporting tool such as Cognos, Brio, Business Objects. The person will be helping to expand the existing reporting capabilities that reside in MS SQL Server and helping to architect and develop solutions using a mixture of MS SQL Server and Teradata. This may include pulling information from a variety of sources or using Cognos Framework Manager to link the two sources together. The objective is to expand the current data set available to Supply Chain to encompass all business units across the supply chain and provide a front end for the user that is simple but flexible using a reporting tool or a web page front end. *REQUIRED: * 5+ years VB 5+ years TSQL 3+ years Microsoft SSIS 5 years SQL 5 years Cognos ReportNet SharePoint Database skill set for application tuning *PREFERRED: * ASP.net or any other web development tool Configures applications or systems for high-risk, highly-complex requirements. Designs and defines high-risk, highly-complex job schedules. Executes the deployment of code across environments. Experience with any reporting tools such as Cognos, Brio, Business Objects Any other formal languages that demonstrate programming knowledge and methodology. 4 year computer science or relevant technical degree with 5 to 7 years experience, if 2 year degree 6 to 10 year experience preferred.
