*Position : Infrastructure Project Manager Location: Hartford, CT Duration: 6+ months*
*Description:* - Manages the activities and people associated with the project and the success of that project. - Works with user to identify the user's need. - Delivers quality systems solutions to business problems. - Develops conceptual level requirements in the analysis phase. - Supports the production environment proactively through tracking management activities. - Responsible for the ongoing systems needs of the client/user community. - Utilizes formal SDLC to coordinate system development activities; provide project status reports; identify and define user needs; analyze project proposals; develop conceptual systems requirements; develop systems integration requirements; develop systems phasing plan; provide business application consultation; provide problem tracking/management. - This area does not currently utilize the SDLC, but instead the IDLC (Infrastructure Development LifeCycle). Ideal Background for this candidate will be: - Comfortable corresponding with Sr. Level Leadership/executives. - Issue/Risk Management experience. - Cost benefit analysis experience. - Ability to manage a budget of $100k-2 million. - Ability to manage 1-5 projects simultaneously. *Summary:* - This position is the primary point of accountability to Business Partners and other parties for the management and implementation of the medium to large size Projects and/or medium to large size Programs that support achievement of moderate to complex unit or corporate goals. *Primary Duties:* - Controls planning and execution of the projects' or program's activities and resources. - Ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met. - Works with minimal supervision. - Responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. - Operates within defined parameters using a proven project management methodology with flexibility to merge different methodologies in accomplishing collective goals. - Project governance support and reporting. *Required Skills:* Client is looking for: - Leadership, Command of a room, Extensive INFRASTRUCTURE Project Management experience, Can drive LARGE scale programs/projects** - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business, Information Services preferred, four to six years consulting experience preferred. - Eight to twelve years experience, and four years in program/project management. *Core Skills:* - Seasoned project management skills and competencies. - Excellent organization. - Detail oriented. - Solid written and verbal communications. - Excellent planning and follow through. - Self management. - Savvy with MS Office. - Experience with HPs PPM a plus. - Experience with Cognos reporting tool a plus. *Work Experience:* - Information Technology and Project Management exposure/experience in the total Project life cycle with increasing levels of complexity. - Typically possesses 5+ years experience with leading projects/programs. *Other:* - Experience in managing project/program teams in a matrixed environment. - Active in the mentoring of members of the PM community. - Develops and manages against project budget, scope and timeline. -- Thanks & Regards Naveen Veeravalli | US Tech Solutions Email ID: [email protected] | URL: www.ustechsolutionsinc.com |
