Position: Senior Oracle Developer with financial experience

Location: Rockville, MD

*Scope of Position:*

Design, develop, and maintain database applications for the Wealth
Management group Work with product managers, project managers, and other
development team members on a daily basis to analyze requirements, design,
and develop database applications.



*Main Responsibilities:*

1.    Meet with business stakeholders and other technical team members to
gather and analyze application requirements

2.    Design database solutions to satisfy application (business and
technical) requirements

3.    Implement database solutions using available database development
tools

4.    Provide written status reports to management regarding project status,
task, and issues/risks



*Required Skills:*

1.    Strong experience in Data Modeling, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting

2.    5 years working experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, or other
relational database

3.    Proficiency in relational database design, data warehousing and
database administration

4.    Experience in Oracle Designer, Visio design tools

5.    Experience in database performance tuning

6.    Experience TOAD, Oracle Enterprise Management development tools

7.    Experience in configuration management and code version control

8.    Experience with Sun Solaris, Digital Unix, HP-UX, Windows NT/2000

9.    Good written and verbal communication skills

10.   Good technical and problem solving skills;

11.   Excellent oral & written communication skills

12.   Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or
equivalent experience



*Desired Skills:*
Experience in financial service industry is a plus Description Reviews,
evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database. Identifies
data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow
diagrams and documents the process. Writes codes for database access,
modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Requires a
bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8-10 years of experience
in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of
the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of
tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be
the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and
latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a
unit/department.
