Job Title: Sr. J2EE/ Java Developer with MQ Exp Location: CHARLOTTE, NC Duration: 6+ Months Primary Skills: J2EE Platform, Java, XSLT, MQ Series, Oracle, UNIX, WBI-MB, Web Services, EBS Job Purpose/ Description: . Develops using an XSLT, Java and WebSphere Message Broker and WebLogic Application Server. . Develops components for web services. . Works with ESB technologies, WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere Data power, Oracle Coherence and web services. (Skills/Knowledge of these will be preferred) . Develops using the J2EE platform; also required are OOP paradigm skills, as well as experience with J2EE APIs, protocols and development of multi tiered applications. . Examples of current J2EE application program interfaces (APIs) are EJB, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JTA, etc. . Participates in complex / major efforts regarding the requirements analysis, design, development, and testing of computer programs and / or application components. . Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions; recommends solutions that are aligned with business / IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural standards. . Serves as subject matter expert (SME) in assigned area. . Resolves complex application and technical problems. . Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with systems / applications software and/or application components. . Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies. . Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes. . Strong ability to work collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts. . Performs software architecture and systems design. Tasks and Responsibilities: . Strong knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses a strong understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment. . Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses a strong understanding of business requirements and IT strategies. . Draws on broad knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze complex problems and contribute to troubleshooting efforts. . Leverages strong design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment. . Good understanding of development technology used to support one or more business operations areas. Required education/experience: . Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. . 6 to 10 years of IT work experience in systems programming / analysis . Typically experienced across two Information Technology areas or in a single system / applications software development technology across multiple computing platforms. . Practical experience of project management disciplines. Other Comments for Vendors: Candidates need to have strong XSLT with Java, web services, and WebSphere Message Broker and Web Logic Application Server skills.
