******Immediately Needed A Consultant****** Configuration Management Analyst Location: Dublin, OH Length : 9 months+ Rate : OPEN Purpose: The Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring that application software changes in a multi platform environment are implemented in accordance with the Configuration Management (CM) process. He/she must develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding for the Configuration Management strategy of client. This position will be responsible for software builds, deployments and configuration elements within the Dev, Test, and Stage environments. In addition, the Configuration Management Analyst will be responsible for preparing software builds going to production. The Configuration Management Analyst will coordinate build and deployment activities along with continuous process improvement for IT applications. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership in the software deployment process for projects. Ensure The CM process is followed for builds and deployments for the assigned projects and applications. Maintain deployment and build schedules for projects and applications. Continuous enhancement of the CM process to support required business need Provide build automation Provide Software deployment tool administration & expertise Other duties and responsibilities as required. Position Requirements: Education or Equivalent: Minimum required to perform job. BS in Computer Science, Business or related job experience. Experience or Equivalent: Minimum required to perform job. 5+ years experience in Application Development using a formal methodology process. Requires the ability to develop and manage implementation-planning schedules. Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and coordinate project schedules. Innovative and strategic thinking is required, as well as a track record of success implementing solutions that result in measurable business benefits. 3+ years experience in Configuration Management disciplines. 3+ years experience working in Open-systems environments with the following areas: Java and J2EE related technologies Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio - VB, Visual C++, etc.) HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, SQL, Perl, WISE, and ANT (considered a plus) Batch files or scripts (MS Batch files or UNIX shell scripts) to increase automation and consistency Experience with source control systems, including Rational Clear Case (major plus), Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, or CVS Experience with a software configuration management tool and performed administrative activities associated with that tool Understand configuration management terms (e.g. revision, baseline, release) Understand the concepts of labeling, branching, and promotion models with respect to the capabilities (or limitations) of a configuration management tool 2+ years experience on one of the following: WebSphere Required.
