Title: Testing Lead Location: Chicago, IL Contract Length: 3 Months Rate: Open Required Experience: * DB2 * SOAP * Mercury Interactive Testing Tool * Web Testing * XML * MQ Series * Websphere * Healthcare Experience * Blue2 * Claim Processing * HIPPA * J2EE Summary: * Responsible for leading testing team of 5 people. * Responsible for contributing to improvement of software development processes as well as ensuring that the software quality team follows the predefined process * Capable of estimating schedules, determining project scope and driving projects to completion * Ensure test plans that meet design specifications, report on testing cycle and help produce software that is reasonably free from defects * Review product requirement documentation, participate in design sessions and provide stakeholders with a risk analysis for each product iteration. * Communicates with Developers, Product Managers, Usability Engineers and Technical Support specialists on product issues to ensure that the product is fully tested * Works with Technical Support group to help perform root cause analysis of issues found in the wild * Provides technical assistance and technical training to other departments as required * Abreast of industry-wide changes in technology, programming techniques and new tools being used in the QA field * Provide Leadership and supervision for the QA Team * Train and Equip QA Team members with automation scripts or documentation (as needed). * Review and approve test plans and test cases, Release Notes and User Manuals. * Monitor QA activity and schedule, escalate of QA issues to Project Manager (such as missed milestones), and approve release based on quality measurements.
