Position: Oracle Developer with Pentaho Experience Location: Pikesville, MD Duration: 6+ Months Rate: Best available Client: State of MD The Commercial Business Services Business Unit currently has an opening for a Software Developer with specific experience in Pentaho and Oracle. ****Please Note: Candidates without Pentaho experience WILL NOT be considered**** JOB DESCRIPTION: * Create initial load of the data warehouse using mainframe data extracts based on a preexisting data model. * Create updates on a monthly basis to overlay the previous month's data from monthly extracts. * Design and develop a data mart where aggregated data will be stored. * Install the base Pentaho software to create a web-based reporting environment. * Work with the WebSphere server team to set-up security. * Work with the WebSphere server team to set-up various parameters. * Create predefined User reports using Pentaho. * Provide training to User and technical staff on using Pentaho report generator tool. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: * Minimum 2 years of experience with Pentaho. * 3+ years experience with Oracle development. * The developer will be familiar with the Oracle database tool, TOAD. * The developer will be proficient with database transactions in Oracle and SQL Server using SQL. * The developer will be familiar with WebSphere. * The developer will be familiar with AIX. * The developer will have experience working with the ETL process. * The developer will have Java experience and experience with J2EE. * The developer will have experience with ASP.NET, SQL Server 2005 Management Studio.
