Description : *QA WITH BANKING EXPERIENCE (NEEDS TO BE ON
THE RESUME)*

*Summary:*
Responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of test plans,
test scripts and test cases for software project releases. Performs under
minimal supervision significantly complex testing of software applications.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
• Develops and maintains master test plan for software project releases.
• Manages the overall test process per the testing methodology, and ensures
the testing methods meet the specifications.
• Specifies, builds, manages and organizes relevant test environments and
infrastructure. Uses script checks to verify a healthy test environment.
• Designs, develops and executes software test plans for assigned area or
application(s).
• Develops, maintains and upgrades manual test scripts, utilities,
simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute
test plans.
• Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and
written forms.
• Controls and manages daily test activities for assigned area or
application(s).
• Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
• Provides internal quality assurance.
• Identifies risks and develops mitigation strategies.
• Evaluates the overall test process.
• Coordinates project planning efforts with other areas or cost centers
affected by work unit projects.
• Coordinates fail-over testing when new or major changes are made to an
infrastructure.
• Administers and controls test tools.
• Organizes and maintains the test script library for assigned area or
application(s).
• May mentor or train other Test Analysts in processes, methods, tools and
best practices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
*Education:* Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in
computer science, management of information services or a related field.
*Banking industry experience MUST have.
*Wire Transfer processing application knowledge preferred.
*Additional Skills:* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Thorough knowledge of methods, tools, and technology used in software
testing
• Thorough knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and
technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that
meets the needs of the client/business partner
• Considerable knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and
roles of application development methodologies
• Considerable knowledge of primary database engines such as Oracle, SQL
Server, DB2 with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used
for data validation and troubleshooting
• Considerable knowledge of object-oriented development tools, techniques,
and principles with expertise in at least one object-oriented language
• Considerable knowledge of functions, features, and components of existing
and planned operating systems and applications
• Knowledge of project management principles, methods and tools that is
demonstrated through test projects
• Considerable skill in understanding and focusing on the clients’ needs,
establishing credibility and building relationships with clients
• Considerable skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving
• Ability to manage change throughout the test process
• Ability to deliver results under pressure
• Ability to manage conflicting interests and identify compromises
• Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with
technical and non-technical individuals at various levels of management and
non-management positions
