This resource will provide software development testing and quality assurance for numerous in-house developed RF optimization and system performance applications developed in a Unix (Solaris/Linux) and MS-Windows environment. The individual must have relevant commercial experience in software development testing with the following background: Excellent understanding of the SDLC and the role of QA. Experience with QA methodology and strategies to ensure Quality Assurance Control and automated testing. Experience in Quality Assurance with emphasis on Black Box testing, Front End Testing (Functionality testing & GUI Testing) and Automated Regression testing of Java and Web based and Client/Server applications. Ability to create test cases and work with trouble ticketing systems such as Remedy. Experience in manual testing of applications in both Windows and UNIX Environment. Creation and execution of test plan, test cases, test scripts, and implementation plan. Review and inspection of testing documentation. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot defects, perform testing and regression testing, generate and update software problem reports and enhancement requests. Deliverables include development and execution of User Acceptance Test plans, and working with developers, operations, and subject matter experts to validate software features and functions according to technical requirements and functional specifications. Responsibilities involve managing software change request tickets, handling testing of enhancements and defects, regression testing, software release management, and change management processes. Work will require close interaction with developers, RF engineers and other SQA engineers during all project phases. Experience in testing database applications of RDBMS in Oracle 10/11G. Knowledge of SQL and Unix will be useful. Environment (Plat., O/S, Lang., DB, Apps, & Tools): Required Experience BSCS, minimum of 2 years work experience in quality assurance or development of Java, Perl and web based software applications. Required: Mercury Tools; Linux/Windows proficiency; CVS; SQL; Oracle, MS SQL, Remedy Tools: MS EXCEL, Word, Outlook, Remedy, SQL Developer, WIKI, Loadrunner, Winrunner, QTP, Test Director, SVN, CVS Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Operating Systems: UNIX, MS Windows Vista/XP Preferred: Knowledge and experience with introducing Automated tools (i.e., Mercury Test Director, QTP, Loadrunner, Winrunner) Ability to Analyze Business requirements, Specifications and Development of Test Plans, Test Cases and executing them. Strong expertise in automated and black box testing of Web-based applications. Must be comfortable as a self-starter in a dynamic technical environment. Some experience with writing technical documentation a plus. Ability to work independently by prioritizing multiple tasks and projects.
