Response Time: Immediate Requirement: Title: Cognos Developer (F2F required this week) Position: 1 Duration: 6+ months Location: Irving, TX Rate: $40/hr C2C All Inclusive Interview: Immediate Description: Responsible for the engineering planning, design, implementation, and operation of Unix and Windows Midrange computing platforms for n-Tier application architectures. Responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as the implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise and Line of Business applications. Skills: Cognos installation and administration, Ascential IBM Datastage installation and administration Unix IBM (AIX) Roles and Responsibilities: As a member of the Deployment and Administration team, you will provide high quality deployment and infrastructure related administration for Cognos, and Ascential ETL to the application development community. This is a demanding and fast paced environment. To succeed you must have a positive self starter attitude and be driven to provide the best service possible. You will participate in planning sessions with project managers, development analysts and team members to execute deployments globally. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input as necessary. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout. Working knowledge of basic network technologies Working knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures Experience utilizing LDAP Solid testing and debugging skills Experience with Cognos environments Solid understanding of security / entitlement concepts Position requires the ability to work off hours support as needed Thanks & Regards Acer Mc Entellects Corp.
