Duration : 12 months Location : Pasadena , CA Description : Systems Administrator will be responsible for systems administration of the PIMS(Pharmacy Information Management System) technical environment consisting of an Oracle database, Java client components, a webserver (Tomcat), Weblogic Websphere (WPS, WAS, WMB) and Linux operating system.Initially, several non-production environments will be created. In future, the production environment will be built out and support will be needed for system go live and post go-live activities. Training in PIMS-specific technical components can be provided to an otherwise strong candidate. SysAdmin will need to have at least 3 years of work experience with web-based technologies including at least one industry-standard webserver (preferably Tomcat), Java components, Weblogic and UNIX. At least 1 year experience with Tomcat and Linux is required. The ideal candidate must have well-rounded knowledge of web-based application environments with an Oracle database as part of the environment. The individual must have extensive experience with automating various environments maintenance tasks and must be adept at devising solutions for environment issues. He or she must have excellent knowledge of UNIX and Linux operating systems with, preferably, systems administration experience with both. Familiarity with LDAP and Citrix is required.
