Preferred** *Duration: 12+-months Contract* * * *Job Description*: *Responsibilities:* Role is Senior Analyst/Developer within a 100-person global team that supports the GSEC clearing business. • Develop and maintain software for the GCAS Client facing internet website. • Develop, test and maintain interfaces between GCAS web application and other applications/entities. • Develop, test, maintain and enhance other GSEC securities processing applications. • Analysis and technical design responsibilities for all of the above • Liaise with a global development and product development teams to coordinate projects. Skills/Experience: *• Experience in web application development in J2EE.* • *Experience with mainframes would be a big plus.* • *Experience in relational database. IBM UDB preferred (additional Sybase experience a plus).* • Unix/Linux experience. • Experience in development of financial application preferred. • Experience with integrated unit testing tools/concepts is a plus. • Strong technical analysis skills. • Strong team player with good communication skills. • Overall 6-10 years of experience is required. *Specific Proficiency in:** • Java Design/Development/Deployment of J2EE applications Struts JMS JSF IBM WebSphere 5.0 IBM WebSphereStudio 5.0* Pluses: • Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 ASP.Net / C##.NET .Net Framework 2.0 • HTML, CSS, AJAX, Javascript, SOAP • Classic ASP, Visual Basic, COM components • AJAX applications Web Services • Integrating third party web controls • IBM UDB • Integrating .NET client applications with Java back-ends.
