Position   :  System Administrator
Location  :  Jacksonville FL
Duration  :  6 months

*Must have Microsoft Certificated System Engineer 2000/2003 (MCSE)*

General Position Description:
Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, access, and backup for
enterprise wide systems.
Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system
security, hardware and other software applications.
Troubleshoot system issues, resolve or recommend solutions.
Create and manage system documentation, including configurations and backup
procedures.
Create patches and updates as needed.
Participate in the definition and implementation of system components
including new servers, hardware, software and upgrades. Install, upgrade,
support and troubleshoot operating systems.
Must possess solid knowledge of operating systems and networking hardware
and software.
3-5 years of experience functioning in a Systems Administrator capacity is
required.

Requirements:
Client Server Support Systems Engineer Position Overview:
Windows Server (proficient in Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 Server OS.
Able to perform simple user tasks, i.e. login, directory listing, edit
files, read / write email.
Understanding of files, permissions, ownerships, groups.
Able to perform simple administration tasks, boot / shutdown system, add /
remove users.
Understanding of concepts of WINS, DNS, Active Directory, and TCP/IP
networking and DFS
Able to perform moderately complex systems task w/o assistance.
Able to debug most general system / application/ user issues.
Able to advise users on use of system.
Proficient in all 3 server OS levels, Windows W2000, W2003,W2008

Hardware:
Provide hardware support Dell server infrastructure Dell Open Manage
Hardware monitors.
In – depth knowledge of hardware and ability to perform hardware maintenance
and replaceable parts is also required.
Products Familiarity with some of the following: WINS, DNS, NetBIOS, Active
Directory, SNA, Exchange, IIS, Trend Antivirus, LANDesk, Citrix, SQL, RDP,
VNC, WSUS 3.0 server HBAs and Faxing Software
Functional Skill set under general supervision, responsible for the
installation, configuration, customization, supporting and maintenance of
Windows Server operating systems and hardware in a 24 x 7 production
environment.
The environment also includes the associated software infrastructure for
these systems including Active directory and DNS and WINS, plus experience
with the use of systems utilities and performance measuring and monitoring.
Duties include server provisioning and product ionization, resolving
production problems, developing standard operating procedures, and providing
technical support for applications and desktop staffs.
This position rotates on call responsibility with other staff members and
provides second level support for the help desk.
Recognizes and troubleshoots problems with server hardware and software as
well as applications software.
Requires familiarity knowledge of computer operations and familiarity with
windows server internals. Performs server administration and provisioning.
Coordinates end user disk space assignments, planning and management.
Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change
control.
Develop, maintain and support Disaster Recovery plans, scripts and vital
records so that they are accurate to current production configurations and
executable by the implementers.
Participate in Disaster recovery duties as assigned. Qualifications:
B.S. or Associate degree preferred.
MCSE preferred.
3 - 5+ years Microsoft Server Products, including, Windows Server 2000/2003,
SQL Server 2005,
Experience with Server Virtualization specifically Vmware a plus
Effective communication skills for gathering need requirements and
participation in collaborative development.
Proven self-starter with a track record of successful project completion
SQL Server  - Intermediate level
Windows 2003 - Intermediate level

Certification/Credentials Clearance:
Microsoft Certificated System Engineer 2000/2003 (MCSE)
