Position : SQL Server Developers Location : Catawissa, PA Duration : 6 months
*Must have Experience in the healthcare, including HL7 and EDI* Description / Needs My client is looking for an experienced Developer with Healthcare / Health Plan knowledge. This resource would be instrumental in the development of a population specific, comprehensive patient centered data warehouse of enrollment, encounter and health data. Activities will span all phases of product development including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, validation, release, and maintenance. Along with skills listed below, the preferred candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the payor and provider sides of the healthcare industry including its practices, terminology and its regulatory environment Ideal candidate will posses the following: A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (preferred) A minimum of 5 years of technical experience is required (related field or equivalent experience) Ability to support the entire systems development life cycle Excellent communication skills The ability the work both independently and in a team environment on Capability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate with in a hands-on approach with user community Excellent time management skills Organizational and client service skills Technical Requirements Candidates should have experience writing technical design documents, specifications, test and implementation plans. They must have the ability to troubleshoot problems, learn new technologies and research, analyze and recommend products. Candidates must have experience with the following: 5+ years developing of complex, high-performance enterprise software Broad experience with SQL Server and SSIS Impeccable software engineering habits (e.g. unit and regression testing, code reviews, etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in the healthcare, insurance, or related industries is strongly preferred (including HL7 and EDI). Candidate will also be asked to take part in the following: Identify innovative approaches to business solutions. Develop an in-depth understanding of client business strategy, operations, and requirements. Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. Makes recommendations for improvements to operation / IT process standards/methodologies. Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes. Communicates process changes, enhancements, and modifications verbally or through written documentation to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
