.Net Lead Developer for Financial client NYC-18 months-2 years position, this person needs HEAVY financial background They currently have an Excel/VBA based booking system that will need to be replaced with a new, C# / .NET / WPF (Winforms) order booking system. This "new" system exists in London; however they have zero footprint in the US. Accordingly, this will be the first contractor hire for this new development initiative. Mgr wants a technical lead - first hire will become a 'cornerstone' to the new development team that will be created in the coming weeks/months. Candidate MUST be strong with C#, WPF, .NET, Winforms. Architecture-level experience is helpful, but not absolute. Looking at a minimum of 7-8 years of development experience. Must have financial industry experience, and derivatives exposure as well - since this person will be a technical lead, he will interact with traders (needless to say, excellent communication skills needed!).
