NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: Erwin Data Modeling Jcl JOB DESCRIPTION: Minimum 3 years of work experience as a DB2 Database Administrator Strong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery procedures Solid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures Solid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of problem on overall database performance Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes Strong skills in maintenance tools and procedures Solid skills with one or more programming language and design technique Experience with other relational or hierarchical databases a plus Candidate should be an experienced DBA using DB2 in a Z/OS mainframe environment. Candidate should be experienced with third party products including BMC and Omegamon products. Candidate should be capable of investigating and resolving performance issues within the DB2 subsystem.
