Required:
Associate's degree or one year of vocational training, military training, or other formal training in a computer-related discipline preferred
Proficient and/or familiar with :
Tape Library functions
Log taking
Console Monitoring
Phone Communications
Cat 6 Cabling
Server Racking
Environmental Monitoring(distribution and AC systems)
Use of Trouble Ticket Systems
Any of the following software skills would be a plus but not required:
MVS, JES2, CICS, DB2, VTAM commands; TSO/ISPF/SDSF for printer control and output; etc.)
Interaction:
Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.
Ability to team with co-workers on support and break/fix operational issues.
Must be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic and be prepared to take ownership of incidents.
Must adhere to strict quality and change management procedures.
Complexity/Problem Solving:
Associate's degree or one year of vocational training, military training, or other formal training in a computer-related discipline preferred/ tape handling experience a must
Experience in supporting production, large-scale distributed servers environments a plus.
Ability to collaborate with other support teams to troubleshoot complex incidents.
