*Position*: * EMC SAN admin w/ V-Max (1)* *Location*: Miami, FL *Length*: 2 months w/option for additional time *Start Date*: ASAP * Rate: * $50-55.00hr all inclusive *Overview:* Consultant will be responsible for storage provisioning, storage network management (SAN and NAS), and backups for many diverse application systems and operating systems. Must have storage admin & design, problem resolution of new hardware configurations, storage allocation and handle incident tickets and complete the work *Requirements:* 1. Must have 3-5 yrs experience with EMC platforms *including EMC Symmetrix VMAX arrays Clariion * 2. Provide configuration and assistance around Storage relating to Storage Configuration *a. **LUN Configuration* *b. **LUN Partioning* *c. **Array Configuration* 3. Must have exp operating in a SAN fabric environment with storage provisioning skills including disk assignment, fabric zoning and LUN masking including : 4. Provide the storage service line management function role for the Customer a. Lead capacity planning and recommending technology changes as appropriate per industry best practices. b. Define service requirements & forecast new capacity requirements c. Provide guidance on industry best practice assist with architecture design. *5. **Provide storage and backup architectural guidance, including oversight of: * a. Design of technical solutions or changes thereto b. Design and oversight of snapshot and replication technologies c. Documentation of as-built and SOPs d. Implementation of solutions e. Research of architectural options providing new options and capabilities for Customer 6. Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with internal best practices. 7. Maintaining multi-tiered storage infrastructure leveraging EMC hardware and software 8. Participate in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans. 9. Participate in the design and operational execution of the customer's storage disaster recovery process. 10. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 11. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator 12. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
