Title : Oracle Production Support Engineer

Duration : 4+ Months
 
Description
 
The Production Support Software Engineer will work with the Incident and 
Problem Management teams in Assessment Operations to act as Tier 1 and 2 
support for the users of the client systems. 
Responsibilities include: 
* triage and diagnosis of issues in the production system. 
* working with Tier 3 support for issues which cannot be handled within 
Assessment Operations. 
* authoring SQL scripts to inspect and resolve system data issues 
* occasional extended hours support of the system 
* support of workgroup utilities for productivity enhancement coded in C# and 
Perl 

Required Skills:* 
* Strong Oracle SQL skills 
* Strong troubleshooting skills 
* Strong teamwork skills 
* Well organized 
* Good communication skills 
* Ability to understand how a large, multi-part system functions 
* Ability to be on-call occasionally 
* Flexible working hours 

Preferred Skills:* 
* Experience managing small projects 
* Experience with C#, Perl, and/or Java 

Education/Certifications:* 
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
