Position: Business Object Developer with Admin and Public sector exp Location: South Florida, FL Duration: 6 months The candidate will be required to maintain and test software that meets the design specifications; maintain and repair applications to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specifications; work in both the BOE and the Business Warehouse environment. Additional responsibilities include: Provide post-implementation support Handle calls from SAP Solutions Center Answer, and prioritize the calls from project team members, and systems administrators Facilitate knowledge transfer to other project team members Develop business process documentation Ensure that business processes are effectively mapped in the software configuration The contractor will work closely with the individuals responsible for business requirements gathering and analysis and have a thorough understanding of the way the data will be used to make business decisions and will direct project efforts to ensure that SAP best practices are featured in the query design procedures. The contractor will provide weekly status reports to the project manager. This assignment will cover the time period from approximately February 2010 to September 30, 2010 Job Qualifications The consultant must possess the following skills and abilities: Maintaining Business Objects system components and services · Create with Business Objects repositories and universes · Manage users with Business Objects Supervisor · Migrate documents from a development to a production environment · Install Apache web and Tomcat application servers · Install, configure, and administer Business Objects server · Upgrade Business Objects server · Cluster Business Objects servers · Install and configure Broadcast Agent (BCA) · Tune the performance of your Business Objects system · Perform auditing and trace logging · Excellent written and verbal communicative skills Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a BOE production support role with daily hands on support of production activities including system enhancements, break-fix, requirements gathering and end user support Experience in leading a team of developers, managing their work loads, and coaching them on their work At least 2 Full-Life Cycle implementations of BOE experience At least 2 years experience in both SAP implementations and sustaining support-using SAP best practices Hands on experience working with BOE and BW extractors and InfoProviders. Working knowledge with BW transport management system and understanding of transport migration process.
