Must have the ability to take a complex problem and break it down into simple well defined manageable subcomponents that are loosely coupled. Reducing tight dependences, whereby, can farm out subcomponents. Allowing for true parallel development across a large team. Architect and design a solid base application framework that allows for extensibility and ease of maintainability. Document the design using UML, providing blue prints for developers to develop code both on location and remote. Ensure that the application scales, and meet or exceed SLA commitments (i.e. security, performance, durability, robustness, etc). Use best practices and architectural design patterns within reasons Ability to coach and mentor developers on .Net and take them to the experienced or expert level.
