* * * * *Required ETL Consultant* * * Location : *NC* Duration : *6 Months* *Description/Comment: * * * • Define validation approach; Work with the business for their input into the approach, signoff criteria, tolerance levels, etc. • Validate database records back to the source system (CSG/ICOMS) • Using data analysis techniques, identify and explain all variances; Variance explanations must be to a detail that assists a developer in fixing the issue as well as be converted to a business language so that results can be communicated and understood by the business. • Work with developers and QA on the resolution of any defects found during the validation effort. • All other tasks as assigned. *Job** Requirements: * • Strong SQL skills. • Strong Analytical skills. • Strong background/ability to perform data analysis. • Strong Communication skills; Ability to communicate with both technical resources as well as resources at various levels of the business community. • Minimum of 7 years experience as a Developer, Technical Analyst, IT Analyst, Systems Analyst, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. . Experienced in troubleshooting issues using various data analysis techniques; Working knowledge of Oracle, PL/ SQL, and experience using Microsoft Access and TOAD. • Minimum of 5 years of experience on data warehousing/ business intelligence projects; Working knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Ascential etc. and Internet-based technologies, reporting tools, and client/server-based applications is highly desirable; Experience with basic Unix scripting and databases (Oracle, Netezza) is highly desirable. • Must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, a `quick study', and be adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment; Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical persons orally and in writing is required ; High degree of professionalism, using an interpersonal communication style that promotes progress through teamwork in a collaborative manner; Must be comfortable working with minimal direction in a highly-matrixed organization; Must pay attention to detail and have a sense of urgency in completing multiple assignments within aggressive timelines. *Experience with Convergys and CSG billing data is preferred*
