* * * * *Required Network Engineer *** Location : *Santa Clara, CA (Only Locals) *** Duration : *3 months (extn to 6 months possible)* *Experience :** Minimum 5 years in networking * *Consultant should have Cisco company working experience.* *Job Description: * · Focus on feature testing on L4-L7 products, TCP/IP features and Load balancing , IpV6products. · Will be involved in system integration testing with complex customer scenarios. · Simulate customer scenarios with traffic generators and other network simulating products. · Will apply knowledge of L2/L3 protocols and TCP/UDP to understand newer protocols/features. · Participate in feature design review, functional spec. review. · Write test plans which define the strategy and test cases for new product features and subsequently execute those tests, investigate test failures and log product defects. · Review other test plans and provide required feedback. · Use software engineering skills to review other engineers scripts for automation. · Will have complete ownership of multiple features and will interface with different teams such as TMEs/Interoperability testing team/System testing team and assist them in resolving their issues. *Skills Required:* · Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS is a must. · strong knowledge on HTTP and HTTPS protocol implementation. · Should have good understanding of routing, switching, general networking concepts, TCP/IP and protocols. · Strong analytical skills to debug and isolate problems are required. · Strong knowledge on TCP/IP , routing protocols, bridging. · Experience developing Tcl/Expect scripts and libraries in a UNIX environment is beneficial. · Programming in C/C++ is preferred but not a requirement. · Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with different test, development, and support groups. · Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial · Cisco certification – CCNP, CCIE would be an added advantage. c
