*Job Description: * What brought about the need for this request? We would like to develop a new solution (Release Management) on top of our existing platform and prove that it can be done OOB to validate our partner ecosystem. Service Manager (v1) is part of System Center suite of products from Management & Services Division (), which is a fast growing billion dollar business within Server & Tools organization. Service Manager enables IT organizations to provide great service to their end-user customers while increasing efficiency through standardized process automation. This product provides an extensible platform for a broad spectrum of IT solutions to be built on top using the ITIL/MOF guidelines. We develop components targeted for end-user, IT administrator, IT author and ISV partners with fantastic opportunities to innovate for these personas. We integrate with other System Center products such as Configuration Manager and Operations Manager to provide a central repository of meta information for workflow based automation and reporting on various IT compliance and performance metrics. Our engineers are developing a wide array of systems including several ITIL based solutions, Configuration Management Database, Data-warehouse, Authoring and Administration tools, Web parts for applications and IT knowledge. Technologies we use include .Net, SQL, WPF, ASP.Net, WCF, XML, WinWF, Powershell. -to-day: They will need to be a full participate like a full-time developer, participating in meetings, following the engineering process and developing code. Start/LOA: Immediately, through end of June, but will likely extend. We are currently funded through the end of the fiscal year, but we won’t be able to finish everything by then. Culture: We’re a V1 product starting our V2 work. We’re small and have a big charter, so everyone has an opportunity to contribute a lot. *Additional Skills: * -motivated and a passion for excellence. 4+ years of experience shipping products that are highly maintainable and supportable. Expertise in WPF, WF, C# and .Net. Strong problem solving and communication skills. Top notch troubleshooting and debugging skills.
