Keen sense of operational excellence and ability to clearly convey this skill to others. Ability to rally a team around a set of core values. × Deep expertise in the Oracle database including development and maintenance of multi-terabyte databases on Oracle 10g RAC or newer platforms. Knowledge of best practices for PL/SQL development (including packages and database triggers) is required. Database administration skills or experience are helpful. × Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent problem solving skills and lateral thinking for creative solutions. × Strong logical/analytical skills with a keen ability to anticipate and avoid problems. × Able to decompose and solve problems at the appropriate level within the system, keeping in mind the higher-level structures and their requirements and dependencies with adjoining subsystems. × Able to create clear process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and the like. × Ability to work well within a team environment, and have the will and the ability to succeed in an environment that includes offshore development. Frequent night and weekend work is required for offshore development management and assistance with scheduled code releases. × Ability to work within tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. × Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and an ability to communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences. × Attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects at once. × Clear understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and respective experience with its application in design and development phases. × Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices. × Excellent Oracle SQL skills and ability to quickly formulate ad hoc queries and reports. × Ability to design, validate and execute software test plans. × Highly self motivated and directed. × Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills; ability to negotiate consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders. Experience needed: × 5+ years experience managing development teams and providing technical direction and leadership. × Experience working with offshore teams preferred. × 10+ years of overall IT/software development experience × 7+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer working on large-scale apps (ERP, CRM, etc.). × 7+ years of development experience in Oracle PL/SQL with good software methodology practices. Good working knowledge of SQL Server preferred. × 5+ years database design. × Experience in automotive marketing and/or CRM applications preferred. × Business analysis and reporting experience preferred. × TFS experience preferred. Education Requirements: × Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (and/or 5 years equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or a related discipline. × PMP certifications a plus.
