ID: Req-0070 - ETL Architect Description: Client is looking to hire a Senior ETL Systems Administrator with three or more years experience installing and configuring IBM InfoSphere Information Server in a Sun Solaris environment. Must have strong troubleshooting and Problem Identification Skills and will be needed to assist teams with problem resolution. Worker must possess the ability of working with multiple Teams in a large scale environment. As part of Client initiatives, the worker will perform the following activities to accomplish the following goals: A. Install/coordinate installation and configuration of IBM InfoSphere Information Server v8.1 on UNIX Platforms, upgrades, patches and fixes as required by project deadlines. B. Build out IBM InfoSphere Information Server v8.1 in a Sun Solaris Containerized virtual server environment to populate an Oracle database. C. Assist project teams with tuning of the IBM InfoSphere Information Server v8.1 solution to meet business requirements. D. Performs complex analysis to diagnose system problems, trends, and determine necessary corrective action. E. Assist in development and implementation of application roll-outs and upgrades where IBM InfoSphere Information Server v8.1 is affected. F. Assist developers and application support staff in testing and troubleshooting application. G. Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation. H. Follow IBM recommended Best Practices for IBM InfoSphere Information Server v8.x installs and be able to document changes and procedures as needed for the building out of ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) environments from Development to Production. I. Attend application related meetings to provide leadership regarding technical standards and customer requirements. J. Other duties as assigned. II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Years Skills/Experience 5 Configuration and documentation of ETL architectures and installations. > 5 Working in a 24x7 Data Center. 5 Strong Oral and written communication skills and Processes Documentation. 3 Installation, configuration and administration IBM InfoSphere Information Server v8.x on Unix operating system platform; experience with version 8.x required. 3 Administration and configuration of IBM InfoSphere Information Server v8.x with Oracle as its backend Database.
