Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience 2. Experience; Minimum 5-8 years experience of commercial Java development; 1. Understanding of J2EE including open source, n-tier architecture, object oriented Analysis and Design; Fundamental understanding of web applications, data models and relational databases (preferably Oracle); 2. Experience in and success with Agile software development methodologies, especially Scrum and eXtreme Programming (XP); 3. Experience utilizing continuous integration environments and comprehensive xUnit testing and TDD (test driven development); 4. Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), SOAP, ReST, Web Services; Contributor to the Open Source Community preferred 3. Technology: Experience with a variety of open source Java tools; Experience with UI frameworks; Experience with Tomcat or other application server desired; Experience with Mule ESB, Tibco Active Matrix in the enterprise is a big plus. 1. Designs, develops, modifies and implements middleware software components on application servers to be used on web or n-tier applications. 2. Develops and assesses technical architecture, design, and framework. 3. Contributes to the overall software development lifecycle including requirements gathering/analysis, design, development technologies, release/version control, testing, and deployment. 4. Develop technical specifications and documentation. Performs application testing of components, modifications, and overall systems. 5. Develops documentation for applications. 6. Assists in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing. 7. Reviews the work of other peers on project teams. 8. Works in close partnership with other team members and other teams.
