Position SAP S&D Duration : 3-6 months Location : Irving, TX. Rate : $/hr all inclusive. Contract to Hire. This opportunity in paying This role is a key contributor and member of the SAP Support and Deployment team that holds expertise in the SAP application that serves the specific business lines and functions. They thoroughly understand the business processes, SAP configuration and functionality and the associated data. This role works closely with SAP COE teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive development of solutions. Will function having a high level of technical knowledge of a functional area and will mentor and train less experienced team members. Uses agreed to standard tools and development methodologies. Member of the team that performs all functions related to developing and maintaining business functionality through configuration and integration of SAP and SAP bolt-on tools. This team also performs and supports testing to ensure quality. Primary Responsibilities 1. Support global SAP implementations to required service levels, performing localization tasks and coordinating effective SAP solutions with the SAP Center of Excellence team. 2. Gathers detailed requirements from business users for level 2 support work, approved projects and small enhancements to existing SAP configuration or development objects. 3. Performs design and writes specifications as needed for workflow, forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (WRICEF) primarily for localization efforts. 4. Performs unit tests and other tests as needed and works with end users on User Acceptance testing (UAT). 5. Works with Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure teams, and Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured within SAP and that all development objects perform as designed. 6. Understand and adheres to software development lifecycle methodology 7. Follows processes that ensures cohesive and detailed program specifications, creates quality configuration and objects matching specifications, performs unit testing, creates appropriate documentation and provides the appropriate level of support after implementation when required. Configuration being primarily in areas related to localization. 8. Partners with the business and other IT teams to provide innovative ideas to solve business or technological challenges. 9. Emphasizes and supports the need for continuous improvement through the use of proven methods such as Root Cause Analysis 10. Works with senior team members and lead to perform quality reviews at the requirements, design and development phases and to pass stage gates 11. Provides 2nd level support to the end user community within the appropriate SAP application portfolio 12. Ensure that incident queue in areas of responsibility is monitored and managed effectively 13. Develops self with a broad knowledge of the application capabilities while also developing multiple areas of expertise 14. Actively supports the deployment phases through knowledge transfer, global template configuration extension, new design configuration and appropriate documentation. 15. Collaborate with the other Enterprise Application teams as well as with other key areas within IT (Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, PPMO, etc.) 16. Actively partners with the COE teams through knowledge transfer and “brain building” for speedy and consistent solutions for business users 17. Provides consistent progress/status reports to senior team members and lead Knowledge Requirements ? Knowledge of CMC, including in-depth understanding of the way that the business operates ? Good knowledge of lifecycle development methodologies and industry best practices ? A broad understanding of SAP development and configuration practices ? A broad understanding of key SAP technology and solutions ? General understanding of the overall suite of SAP enabled processes across the company, and how they fit together ? Minimum 7 years in a Logistics business environment conducting business analysis, requirements definition, problem solving in an aggressive environment. ? Preferably some experience with metals industry ? Broad experience with SAP R/3 Logistics Execution System, configuration in areas such as Transportation Planning, Shipment Execution and Shipment Cost Document, etc. Related configuration experience in delivery processing and Warehouse Management. ? TP/VS or TM experience is desirable. ? Minimum four full implementations or upgrades required. Knowledge of ABAP, debugging skills, and ability to write code a plus. ? Detailed knowledge of the overall sales and distribution (SD) functionality in ECC, including customer master, copy control, pricing, availability check, sales contracts, sales orders, credit management, billing, partner determination, Text control, output determination and integration with project systems. ? Heavy customizing experience in the areas of pricing and copy control routines. ? Detailed knowledge of Inventory Management & Warehouse Management functionality. ? Experience with functional design of Forms, Interfaces and knowledge on User Exits is a plus. ?
