******Immediately Needed A Consultant***** * Job Title : Flex / Flash developer Location : Chicago, IL Duration : 6+ Month Contract Rate : OPEN *Overview:* We currently have an opening in Chicago for an Flash Video Developer with strong drive and experience in web architecture, Video architecture integration and Flash Action Script development. This position will require the ability to provide guidance on architecture and development of requirements using Action Script 3.0 and other Object Orientated Languages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in any or all of the following including web technologies, integration architecture and business support system integration and architecture. *Responsibilities:* •Interfaces with Technology and Business stakeholders to gather, define and document architecture requirements. •Mastery of Action Script 3.0 and other object orientated programming languages. •Comprehensive understanding of Adobe AIR and other front end technologies. •Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies; experience with XML and Flash, including an understanding of XSD/DTD for validation. •Good understanding of Flash memory management and experience building applications that manage large numbers of objects efficiently. •Will need to work well with User Experience team (interaction and usability), Engineering team (server communication and application integration), and Creative team (look and feel). • Must have a portfolio or other way to demonstrate previous work for reference. • Experience and desire to mentor others in understanding Flash and Silverlight, appropriate use of Flash and Silverlight, and learning to program with Flash and Silverlight. •Experience with and ability to lead code reviews, identifying architectural best practices and constructively suggesting improvements. •Ability to produce samples of: a Singleton, an Abstract Class, a Concrete class, Web optimization practices and examples in XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. •Analyzes requirements expectations to develop reliable and flexible software architectures. •Writing skills in order to document technical approaches and detailed design documents. •Proactively raises issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product. •Recommends action plan and communicates issues to management, architects and product managers. •Creates functional, operational, and interface architecture models. Understands human-system interfaces to develop suitable architectures supporting ease of use and usability. • Performs decision analysis, simulation, optimization, and decision-making to support the evaluation and selection of alternative software architectures. *Qualifications:* Minimum 2+ year experience with Action Script. Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in web architecture. Experience in designing large scale, distributed web architectures. Can demonstrate strong writing skills and the ability to produce high quality documentation in the English language. Must demonstrate exceptional analytical skills required. Must demonstrate attention to detail and strong follow-up skills. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Must demonstrate expert-level knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and Methodologies. Must demonstrate the ability to design complex architecture as well as the ability to lead and drive technical efforts.
