requirement for a Cognos developer at NYC, NY.
Duration: 6 months+
Positions: 3
- Very good understanding and experience of COGNOS BI 8.3 tools:
Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query
Studio, Metric Studio, Power play and Event Studio.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in designing and creating FM
Models/Packages based on Business Requirement and building reports Report
Studio and Query Studio.
- Proven capability in creating List Reports, Cross Tabs,
Master/Detail, Charts and user defined reports.
- Ability to create multi-prompt reports with drill-thru
capabilities and conditional layouts.
- Fine tune and troubleshoot Cognos 8.3 related issues including
but not limited to performance tuning.
- Strong data modeling skills (Normalized and Multidimensional
for Data Marts, including Star Schema, Snow-Flake Modeling, Fact and
Dimensional Modeling)
- Advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) programming experience
- Excellent communication and documentation skills. Direct client
interaction will be a definite advantage.
