*Job Title : Solution Architect (Telecommunications)* ** *Location : Atlanta, GA* *Terms : Contract* *Length : 1 year* *Rate :55/hr* *Job Description:* *General Overview: * Provide solution architecture supporting the integration of two large bit Ethernet networks. We are seeking someone that can help the client figure out how the two Ethernet networks and supporting OSS applications (Ordering, Billing, and Provisioning applications) will connect and work with each other. The work will involve portfolio level architecture, planning and coordination around the technical development and deployment of the project. *Specific Responsibilities:* Maintain the solution architecture blueprints (or views). Keep track of issues, risks, and action logs around the architecture views. Prepare summary views for presentations when needed. Keep track of Change Requests to the architecture (specifically Change Request intake, assignment, and approval logs) Maintain the project budget views. Keep track of issues, risks, and action logs to the budget. Help the Program Managers by preparing budget summaries when they need to make presentations. Develop and maintain relationships with key people on other teams (PMO, IT, Product Development, Order Delivery, Service Delivery, and Sales). You will influence these teams to make sure they provide good requirements and process flows before the work goes to IT. Help the Program Managers figure out when future releases will be rolled out. Help them come up with release processes and a release schedules. Communicate the processes and schedules to the key stakeholders. Help the Program Managers enforce the delivery schedule. Conduct "checkpoint" reviews to ensure cross release consistency. Go to the status meetings and represent the Release PMO Team by giving the teams status reports on the releases Work with peer Architects and Project Managers with the technical aspects of the project such as integration architecture, data mapping, testing strategy, and testing management. Support: access, analyze, and fix technical issues that arise. *Required Soft Skills:* Self Starter - highly motivated; Excellent communication skills, especially in a large project team environment. Able to lead all technical aspect of project discussion, and set directions for the entire program.
