*Sharepoint Designer* Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 6 Months Rate : $45/hr on C2C *This is a Designer, NOT a developer.* Description: Our client is seeking a Sharepoint Designer for a 6 month contract in Raleigh, NC The selected candidate will work in the capacity as a SharePoint Web designer and will be expected to be an expert at Web design and SharePoint 2007. Our client is looking for a designer of web sites, not a code developer Responsibilities will include: Design and build the portals Working closely with leadership and as a member of the SharePoint team Understanding and developing requirements for the next generation websites. Creating department and division site branding Prototype web site Identifying additional SharePoint web part functionality Creation of the new websites utilizing SharePoint 2007 (MOSS). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required: Experience in corporate branding, web graphics creation, web site layout, and web site design required Building Intranet portals and collaboration solutions using MS SharePoint Proficient with CSS, HTML, Adobe Photoshop or equivalent professional graphics tool Experience with designing and deploying Public facing websites Internet, Extranet and Intranet sites Experience with SharePoint 2007 content management and publishing Experience in SharePoint 2007(MOSS) and SharePoint designer is a major plus Understands taxonomies, navigation principles and corporate portal design best practices Demonstrated experience developing web sites using the latest technology, for example, Dynamic HTML and JavaScript required Converting existing content, sites, services into SharePoint 2007 Meets project deadlines and likes working in a fast paced environment Communicate with both technical and non-technical staff to support analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting of project issues as related to usability and design Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work as a team player A college graduate possessing 1-3 years of work experience Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills Work directly with application development to create style guidelines and standards Web Graphics Design experience, SHAREPOINT 2007 Branding, DHTML, CSS, XHTML, JAVASCRIPT Experience working in an AGILE Process based Team Preferred: AJAX, SharePoint Designer Other Requirements: Examples of other web design work will be considered a major plus.
