Requirement for a senior Oracle database programmer with specific emphasis on experience in Performance tuning and optimization for an Oracle 10G data warehouse application.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performance Tuning. Optimization and tuning of relational database .to identify redundancies.
- Monitor and report on system performance.
- Contribute to the development projects. PL/SQL programming when required.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure systems implementation and performance occur in accordance with established procedures
- Participate in production troubleshooting, testing, and process automation efforts
- Provide trend analysis to enable informed decision regarding capacity planning and optimization strategies
REQUIREMENTS :
Must be proficient in the following areas :
- Oracle 9i or later
- Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Proficiency in database tuning techniques and tools is essential.
- Working knowledge of relational data modeling concepts.
- Working knowledge of ETL processes.
- Minimum 5 years of Oracle experience on day to day activities
- Understanding of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- EXCELLENT communication skills
- Bachelor's degree
