Please forward suitable resumes to* [email protected]* * * *Location : *Lansing, MI *Duration: 9 Months * * * *Job Requirements:* * * Required: · Strong understanding of Framework Modeling using relational tables and star schema dimensional models, including developing hierarchies and using determinants. · Will be expected to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of framework manager, query studio, analysis studio, and report studio in Cognos BI. · Will be expected to develop reporting solutions using Cognos framework manager, report studio, query studio, and analysis studio. · Knowledgeable of best practices using Cognos BI (framework manager, report studio, query studio, and analysis studio). · Higher Education experience (particularly HR and Finance) · Experience in the development and support of reporting solutions for Human Resources/Payroll and Finance using Cognos 8 (Framework Manager, Report, Analysis and Query Studio). Must be able to create dynamic complex reports. · Ability to analyze and communicate development issues, including problems with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues. · Understanding of security in Cognos Groups and roles. · Cognos configuration support, performance and tuning support. · Creation of Cognos portal pages. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · A positive attitude, willingness to get the task completed and comfortable with raising concerns.
* Desired Qualifications:* * * · Experience in designing and supporting development of dimensional models off transactional systems · Experience with the integration of multiple transaction systems in Cognos BI. · Demonstrated ability to work with business users to develop business requirements for data warehousing/BI needs. · Experience writing design specifications, developing models, framework manager packages, cubes and reports using Cognos BI. · Experience preparing project-related documentation.
