Position Title: Senior .NET Developer
Skill Sets:
. Individual must have the following skills and experience:
. Object Oriented Design (understanding and applications of
concepts);
. Well versed in .NET technology;
. Hands-on experience developing/enhancing and maintaining complex
enterprise level .NET applications;
. WinForms (different from WebForms);
. Smart Client Framework,
. Windows Communication Framework;
. Windows Workflow Foundation.
. Well versed with all tiers of the application and able to work
on UI, Business Logic as well as the Data Layer;
. Thorough understanding and hands on experience with design
patterns and application blocks;
. Some data modeling and normalization experience including
writing complex Stored Procedures for MS SQL Server 2005;
. Other Tools - Crystal Reports, Infragistic UI controls, GIS
Tools (preferred but not required); OnBase (Document Storage and Retrival
System - DSAR: preferred but not required);
. Development Platforms/IDEs: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 / Team
Suite;
. Database Servers: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005;
. O/S Experience: Microsoft Windows (NT, 2000, XP, XP Tablet
Edition);
. Source Code Version Control: Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Team
Foundation Server;
. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both
written and verbal;
. Ability to handle assignments concurrently in a fast-paced
environment;
. Great attitude and understands accountability and need to finish
deliverables on time.
Education & Experience:
Prefer Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work
experience.
Prefer 10+ years hands-on experience developing enterprise level .NET
applications, including 4 years developing large, technically complex
systems, and 1+ year with major responsibility for developing, revising and
controlling technical documentation of a complex system.
Responsibilities:
The .NET Developer is responsible for receiving work specifications from the
architects team and produce high-quality software components, provide
feedback, test, etc. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited
to:
. Code and maintain business applications based on business
requirements;
. Is well versed in .NET technology;
. Code WinForms application in .NET 2.0 or better, using C#
(Required for this position);
. Understand and use design patterns, including Composite UI,
Smart Client Framework and other application blocks;
. May conduct research and analysis for projects, evaluate tools;
. Software design, engineering and/or development for government
uses;
. Participation in the development and preparation of
documentation for, but not limited to, procedural, program and user
documentation;
. Designs, develops, installs, implements, fine tunes, documents
and/or maintains databases, database dictionaries;
. Monitors standards and procedures and integrates systems through
database design and administration;
. Works with users to ensure successful system implementation;
. Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge and compiles information
into recommendations and analyses.
